Wassail

It's hard to believe that our last official dance out was at the Ashgrove Farm Wassail, on this day, last year. It was a lovely afternoon with a splendid crowd all willing to partake in this old tradition. We danced, then 'wassailed' the orchard singing the Wassail song. The chosen Wassail Queen Pippa, placed toast into the branches and poured cider around the roots of the apple trees. The Wassail cup was passed around with a hearty cheer.  Then, we all tucked in to a glorious banquet of home-produced food and drink. Cheers Colin and Wendy Trier, hope those days will return soon. In the definition of the word 'Be of good health'.
